There are four distinct seasons in Tokyo. The regular season of travel is the cherry blossom season from the end of March to April. January and July are the best discount seasons for shopping. It is generally recommended to avoid the "Golden Week" in Japan in early May, the rainy season in late June to mid-July, and the Bon Festival in August 13-16. The autumn scenery of Tokyo is also worth a visit. The Okdoma area can enjoy red leaves from late October, and the Ginkgo Avenue of the Meiji Jingu Shrine is fascinating.
