Super 8 by Wyndham Sarasota Near Siesta Key

By SRQ, I had ******* points, room has cable, was super cheap so that's why I chose it. Attendant were so nice I hate to give my honest review. But if you're sensitive to smells or expect a standard of cleanliness, this is not for you. If you don't care about that, and just need the cheapest place next to the airport, then this is your place. Know that there is a $100 deposit. Also, my reservation was non-refundable. If not for that, I would have left right after seeing/smelling the room (it and reception/dining area have overpowering deodorizer scent). I don't care about the deposit, but there were several things wrong with the room so I'd better not be charged for them. One was that there was a dark, raised, rough-textured stain around the the sitting surface of the toilet seat. I brought to attention of staff but he said it was plastic and wear, not soiled (looked like adhesive that stained over time. This is a germ trap due to the texture). After he left, I saw a stain on one of the bed spreads (I do have pics of these, and I slept on the other bed). I didn't call front desk again about the stain on the unused bed since the standard clearly isn't high here, I was so tired, and NFL game had started. Worry about deposit return. I went to check out laundry/ice/vending machines. Guys, I cannot make this up, there was a broken, used, dismantled toilet right next to the ice machine /vending machines! I felt imprisoned to my non-refundable reservation.

We managed here but wouldn't choose it again. The facilities were a bit sketchy. Breakfast was barely adequate. Visually unappealing.

A low budget place to stay. Free breakfast is basic. Cereal, bread and English muffins for toast, coffee, orange juice, oatmeal some fruits. The room was clean but the bathroom was tight.

When we arrived at the hotel, it smelled really bad, bed sheets were stained and dirty. The management refused to change the sheets and said “If you don’t like it here just leave” so rude. We ended up leaving and we found much cleaner rooms at another hotel near by. Terrible experience with Wyndham super 8.

The people in the room next to us were drinking and screaming all night on Friday, and into Saturday morning. It was incredibly hard to sleep. The room was comfortable.

This property is independently operating. The owner is rude and unprofessional. The rooms are filthy and nasty. Never again

Beautiful room .Liked the wood floors and the nice wall photos.Nice sink.The AC unit was not to 60.I prefer Amana units digital to 60 for best sleep over night,but it was a short stay so that did not matter.I thought hotel was near Siesta Key,rather it is North of Downtown Sarasota
