Radisson Hotel Santa Maria

This hotel is like a place that used to be really nice 20 years ago and nobody kept it up. We stayed this weekend for a family event. When we checked in I asked basic questions about the pool hours, restaurant, etc. The staff didn’t have many answers but gave me a paper stating the dining room and bar were closed lunch and dinner both days we were there. I made plans with others based on those amenities so that was a huge issue. Next, There were tons of rooms and very low occupancy but they put us right next to the VERY LOUD elevator. The room was in need of serious upgrades. For example, the wallpaper was peeling off in several areas, there were only 2 working plugs in the room (the rest were behind furniture or broken), the bathroom didn’t have a fan and only 2 outlets. Our party included 4 people so the lack of outlets was a huge problem for charging and getting ready in the morning. The hotel common areas need a refresh as well. The whole place smells musty like the carpet needs to be replaced. We ordered breakfast “to go” Sat morning and it tasted like premade, reheated food. Not something I would expect from a restaurant. We went to the pool Sat night at 9pm (it’s open until 10pm). It was heated and had a hot tub, but no bathrooms so my son had to go wet, all the way in the lobby to use the restroom. Overall, we will not stay here again unless renovations are done. It was comparable to a 2 star motel.

The staff was very attentive and courteous. The hotel has not been kept up and shows it’s age. I had a very quiet corner of the hotel until a group of contractors checked in and I was surrounded by a rowdy group of partiers. I think the bar was closed on a Sunday night, so their rooms became the bar. I asked for a room reassignment the following morning and was granted my request.

I was disappointed , no bottles of water in room. I was especially disappointed no complementary breakfast. I was surprised that such a big hotel did not have this. Not sure will stay here again because of this

I Love staying at the Radisson Santa Maria, best hotel ever. it's very clean, quiet and comfortable and the beds are amazing. every time i come to Santa Maria area I always stay at the Radisson, and I come to Santa Maria Quite a lot. I never stay anywhere else

My reservation was pay at the hotel upon check in. However, they charged my card on file for the whole 2 nights of my stayed before arrival. which supposed to be just to hold and guaranteed my reservation. And will pay at checked in. I was supposed to change my credit payment on file, but instead they charged my debit card. Front desk should pay attentions of details like that.

The first room assigned had a tub faucet that was not able to turn off, we were efficiently moved to another room. Very basic room, the coffee pods were terrible. Left early in the morning and unable to use the restaurant.

Service was good. Bed was comfortable and kids enjoyed watching the airplanes take off. Hotel could use an update. Loud construction work in the early morning.
