This island is AMAZING! The staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome and at home. Every inch of the island is beautiful and there is always a quiet spot to be found to rest & relax. There is great snorkeling and water sports. The slide into the ocean so much fun! The food is great and I went on several dives and the crew was professional and knew their stuff. I would highly recommend and am already planning my next trip!

We are return guests, go every year as it never fails to be the best place on earth! its a stunning island paradise! Aprox 10 acres with beautiful cabanas, 2 pools, restaurant and 2 poolside bars. Cabanas - each with their own private splash pools and views of the sea. lots of activities for your stay - snorkeling, diving, sailing, kayaks, paddle boards a long slide into the ocean, gym and yoga studio, volleyball or kick back and just relax in a hammock. A lovely boutique to support local artisans . At night watch sea life from the blue light dock The delicious food and cocktails are fabulous and the staff are what really make it memorable! Dasha and her team are welcoming, friendly amazing!

I don’t know where to begin writing a review for the most perfect vacation resort. I simply don’t have the words. Ray Caye was a long time dream destination of ours and it lived up to and beyond our wildest dreams. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable & happy. The food is outstanding! The only problem we had was choosing because you can’t eat everything. My husband jokes that there was too much lobster :) The diving, sailing and paddleboarding were fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

20 members of our family converged on Ray Caye in January and shared an extraordinary week there. The reef and the waters were gorgeous. The dive shop staff did a fantastic job of giving scuba lessons to the neophytes and outfitting most of us to snorkel the reef where we saw spotted eagle rays, loggerhead turtles, nurse sharks, and schools of the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. Some of us went fishing, sailing , paddle boarding , and kayaking. The food was fantastic, the service top notch by the dedicated staff. We plan to return next year.

You know it's a great travel experience when you arrive back home and still catch yourself thinking, at multiple times during the workday: "Wonder what everyone at Ray Caye is up to today?" Our family is lucky to travel extensively (Belize was the 17th country my 4 year old has visited), I am not really a "resort" person...and still, Ray Caye was one of our TOP family travel experiences ever. There are a lot of beach resorts in Belize (I researched most of them, as it was important for me to find the right fit) and Ray Caye stands way out from the pack. Everything was just right. The transfer (plane to shuttle to boat, and back again) was easy and smooth. The island's beauty speaks for itself, it is surreal - it is not often that the real thing looks better than the Instagram account! The team is wonderful - everyone is kind and helpful without feeling fake, forced or cheesy. Kids are definitely welcome - my little one still asks about helpers like Candido, Melvin, Jose, and Franklin. The days are lovely and laidback, and we felt immediately at home. There are plenty of little beaches to explore and shells to gather, a gorgeous outdoor pavilion for meals, and a fabulous secluded swimming pool just for guests. We loved watching the pelicans dive during the day and the rays and fish swim on the long dock at night. Excursions were tailored so that everyone in the family could enjoy (for example, we rode on a Hobie to a small sandbar where my husband and I could snorkel, but my little one could still stand in the water, and see fish). The food is excellent, too - I was happy to see some departures from dumbed-down Western resort fare including local ingredients like lion fish. The Ray Caye community has created a very special vibe that I've rarely experienced in a resort setting (we also stayed at a long-established "rainforest" lodge on this trip and dare I say that Ray Caye's level of service and a**osphere was even better, more personal and welcoming!). We are so thankful to the Ray Caye team for memories we will never forget, and are already plotting which of our friends we can trick into footing the bill for a whole island for us next time.

My husband and I recently took our belated honeymoon to this little gem of an island and I am already looking ahead to when we can visit again with our entire family. The island is simply magical with nooks and corners on the island where you can completely disconnect with a good book and good drink. The staff was beyond fantastic! We never felt like a burden and were always treated with enthusiasm and kindness. The food was amazing every time! We especially enjoyed the ceviche of the day and frozen coconut mojitos. 10/10 stars - paradise on earth! -T&D

On a recommendation of a friend who has worked in Belize for years, we stayed two nights in a honeymoon suite to cap-off a 10-day Belize honeymoon holiday. We're both well-traveled and one of us is a EU-US dual-national. We could not have been more impresssed: the accomodations are stunning; and the hospitality and service of the staff was world-class, attentive, relaxing and flexible at every point. We never felt like an imposition and were treated as true guests on the island the whole time. The community at Ray Caye has a very special thing going for it. We will come back again with friends and family for sure. Thanks, Ray Caye! ~H&J

Peace and tranquility…. One can be as active (or not) as they want to be. All water sports available, including snorkelling and scuba diving. Good gym. Or one can just hang out in a hammock reading a good book, watching the pelicans dive for their dinner. Staff were awesome. Saying goodbye was hard as they started to feel like part of the family. Would highly recommend this special place for those that truly want to get away.

This island is the closest I’ll ever get to staying on a private island! It took us about an hour on a boat to arrive to Ray Caye from Placencia. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The drinks and food was amazing. We enjoyed the daily changing dinner options. The view were incredible!!! Everywhere you look, you can see the beautiful Caribbean Sea. This island is super quiet and so relaxing. You can rent kayaks and Hobie Cats for free and the staff will teach you how to use them (if needed). They offer different tours, from snorkeling and/or diving to inland excursions. The front desk is very helpful with planning an excursion. Don’t forget to use the water slide by the South pier! It will bring out your inner child! I can’t recommend this island enough!
