Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel

Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong|2.67km from city center
We booked this hotel mainly for its location and the size of the rooms but also for the nostalgic reasons as I used to live in HK in the late 80s, Marco Polo was one of the best amongst the many hotels in TST alone. We booked a double room with harbor view, which was exactly what I get... but the bed was so small and mattress caving in towards the middle, it felt like a full size bed. The bathroom toilet was not flushed when we arrived and the stool in the bathroom was covered with dust and debris. Since I booked through trip.com which I figured I'm not paying the top dollars, I just reflected the toilet situation to the front desk, Ken, who checked us in and thanked him for assigning a room with more space (what we were told upon check in). Later on we also found that one of the teacups in the room is sticky to the touch. Definitely not pleased with the Housekeeping standard. After sleeping in the sinking hole for 2 nights, our backs hurt and had to go get a massage. We requested for a room change room and the second room was a much larger room with a king size bed and separate bathtub and shower. Same harbor view overlooking the Space Museum and 1881 Heritage. The standard of cleaningness and the mattress were definitely better but I would book other hotels next time. Had a drink at Cucina around 9:30pm, was seated right by the espresso machine, which was super noisy when the machine is in use, together with the strong smell of cheese coming from the counter next to our table and the noise from the semi open kitchen wrapping up towards the end of the night, needless to say, we didn't find our stay to impressive. We went for drinks at the nearby newer hotel and had a much better experience. The Concierge, however, were excellent. The 2 staff we encountered were both professional, helpful and polite, the professionalism and customer service definitely keep up the good old name of Marco Polo HK at its peak time.

Nathan Hotel

My first time staying at Nathan Hotel. I love its location that really close to MTR and convenient to travel between Mongkok and Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, etc. this time my room is assigned at the corner so it is a bit small and crowded. But generally comfortable enough. (I passed by and looked inside another same type of room is more spacious however). The lobby is a bit old but front desk are kind and helpful. (I suggest the toilet at the lobby may need some upgrade since it’s old and broken) It’s quiet when I stayed in the room. 7-11 nearby. I feel good about this stay.

Pros: -It’s location:1 min walking to the subway station; Mc Donald’s,SUBWAY🥪,a bakery and a supermarket are super close. -The view from the room. Luckily the room was upgraded when I asked. Cons: 1)too pricy for the service and rooms 2) poor amenities:no bathrobes ,no comb,no adapters if u want to charge your phone,no Raizor kilt,no cotton pads and cotton swabs,no curtains, no iron 3) not good smell like its so old 4)musty smell 5)black hair on the bad In general u have feeling that it is 3 starts hotel and want to escape asap. Its ok for 1 night stay only

The room is ok, relatively clean, and the proprietress is very enthusiastic. She recommends the tea restaurant and the milk company. Although the room is small, it is next to the subway station, and the station exit faces the stairs. The hotel building is remodeled from a residence, and the exterior and surrounding areas are old, so don't worry about it. I live here because the proprietress and the boss do not discriminate against mainlanders, they are very warm.

The room is clean! ! That is, a foreigner who brought a small baby pothole must ask me to make up 150 yuan. The above is obviously two people. We have three people! ! ! Deeply pitted! And clearly booked a double room, small baby can sleep together! Foreign countries are estimated to see that we are Chinese. Cautiously staying, the first time I was gone, the net was also pitted, and nothing was stated on it!
